Sultania Trade Pvt. Ltd. , the mega polis's biggest distributor of beverage alcohol products entered the imported bottled in origin (B.I.O) products distribution in its tenth year of business by taking up the distribution of UB Group's International Division products in the year 2001.

The SIERRA tequila from Mexico and the piece de resistance The Famous Grouse Scotch whisky from Edrington Group were next on the list. Subsequently, a lull happened, as these brands were out of the orbit of the Company resulting in a vacuum for a brief period of time and the Country was flooded by many brands as India was on a threshold of import competition.

In April 2006, the Company decided to go full fledged with bottled in origin (B.I.O.), products by establishing an International Division , with Mr. A.M.David as the Vice President responsible for this business.

Cantina di Soave

The history of Cantina di Soave

…begins in 1898, when in Soave (Verona) the first cooperative for the wine-making was founded, which in 1906 had already reached a productive capacity of 6.500 hectolitres. It was the first wine cooperative to be born in Veneto and had an alternate life until 1930, when it was definitively established with the name of Cantina Sociale Cooperativa di Soave. At the beginning the signatory members were 115 and engaged themselves to confer every year the grape produced in their vineyards ; the Society managed the vinification of the grapes produced by the wine growers and the sale of the wine with successive partition of the revenues, deducted expenses and costs. Today, Cantina di Soave still maintains the same basic co-operative philosophy , that of covering the entire cycle from vineyard to sales to defend and further the interests of all the members and to achieve a high level of flexibility in production planning. Over the decades up to the beginning of the '60s, the co-operative continued to grow in terms of both members and wine producing capacity, with 434 growers contributing about 13,000,000 kilos of grapes.

At the moment, Cantina di Soave presents itself like one of the most important Italian first degree cooperatives, being in a position to count on a social base of more than 1500 members who manage 4200 hectares of vineyard, ca. 3000 of which are on the hills: a peculiarity that places the company as the most important national producer of hill wines. Cantina di Soave today owns therefore 5 productive plants and controls 34 % of Doc Soave and 47% of Doc Valpolicella.
